Project Architecture & Case Study

The Challenge & Scope

Entrepreneurs opening physical stores or cafes often spend weeks conducting ad-hoc field visits, lacking objective market saturation metrics and quantitative spatial intelligence regarding competitor density.

Technical Architecture & Solution

Built an on-demand geospatial pipeline using Python and Playwright that triggers upon user query. Created an analytical engine calculating saturation scores and utilizing the Haversine radial distance formula to find optimal coordinate nodes away from competitor clusters. Delivered an interactive Leaflet.js map, Chart.js analytics dashboard, and an executive print-to-PDF report layout.

Results & Key Deliverables

Developed a functional prototype that visualizes competitor distributions, evaluates market saturation scores in seconds, and generates a printable one-click feasibility summary.

About the Project

A data-driven decision support system answering 'Where should I open my next branch?' for brick-and-mortar retail and hospitality businesses. When a user queries a target neighborhood, the system performs on-demand map scraping, extracts competitor ratings and categories, calculates market saturation indices, and highlights underserviced coordinate zones on an interactive map.
